Sarah Van Auken is a speech-language pathologist who has experience providing speech and language services to the adult and pediatric populations in schools, inpatient and outpatient medical facilities, and various clinical settings.

 

She earned her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2017. In 2011, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting at the University of the Arts and worked professionally as an actor and playwright for several years. Additionally, Sarah has a background in singing.

Her eclectic background and love for the human experience imbue her work as an SLP with compassion, openness, understanding, connection, and creativity. She strongly believes in evidence based, person-centered treatment and collaborates with patients and their loved ones to help them achieve their individual speech and language goals.

As the director of Centered Speech Services, Sarah specializes in voice therapy, and offers comprehensive speech and language evaluations and treatment to adult and pediatric patients both in her office and via tele-therapy.
